Sarangani holds Children’s Congress

ALABEL, Sarangani (November 20, 2016) - Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon delivers his State of the Children Report during the Provincial Children’s Congress at the Capitol gymnasium Friday, November 18. The objectives of the congress are for children to be able to creatively express their views and opinions on children rights situation; for LGU officials, parents and CSOs to listen to children’s views and opinions, identify needs needing responses to issues and concerns raised by children; and to increase children’s participation in governance. Project BRYAN holds wall painting contest

MAITUM, Sarangani (November 20, 2016) - Nine entries from students, civic and non-civic organizations and the private sector participate in the wall painting contest for Project BRYAN held at Maitum Police Station on November 5. The contest was initiated by Mayor Alexander Bryan Reganit together with Maitum Police Station led by PSI Rodel Javison. Project BRYAN dubbed as “Build the future Regenerate skills, Yield for progress, Abolish illegal drugs and other forms of criminality for a safe Neighborhood” was the theme for the competition. This is one of the activities lined up to inform and educate the public about the ill effects of drugs. Awarding of winners will be on December 22. (John James I. MALUNGON, Sarangani (November 20, 2016) - Led by Mayor Atty. Maria Theresa D. Constantino, the local government here officially inaugurated on November 15 the Malungon Outpatient Reformatory and Treatment Center for Drug Dependents in Sarangani Province.
