“Libreng Opera”

KIAMBA, Sarangani (November 9, 2017) – The PLGU-Sarangani, DOH Region 12, Cotabato Regional and Medical Center, and Cotabato Sanitarium jointly conduct the DOH Surgical Caravan “Libreng Opera” at Dr. Cornelio T. Martinez Sr. Memorial Hospital on October 23-27. The surgical mission offered Thyroidectomy, Herniorraphy, Hydrocoelectomy, OB-Gyne Cases, Cholecystectomy, Hemorroidectomy, Mastectomy, and minor cases such as excision of breast mass and excision of soft tissue masses. LTO deputizes Kiamba traffic enforcers

KIAMBA, Sarangani (November 9, 2017) - In a bid to make Kiamba a more disciplined and safer place, representatives from the Region 12 Land Transportation Office (LTO) are in the municipality on November 8 to deputize new traffic enforcers. These volunteers, deputized by Region 12 LTO Operations Chief Rasid Romaob, will be tasked to enforce the traffic rules and regulations, including the Anti Distracted Driving Act (ADDA), and the Municipal Speed Limit. Sarangani IPMR guest speaker in Tboli town

TBOLI, South Cotabato (November 2, 2017) – Sarangani Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) Fulung Fredo Basino is guest speaker during the celebration of the Municipal Indigenous People’s Day and State of the Municipality Address of Mayor Dibu Tuan on October 27. Basino commended the excellent and outstanding performance of Mayor Tuan for the great achievement of the Municipality of Tboli. He also told them about the strength of the Provincial Tribal Council (PTC) of Sarangani province which he organized in 1995 during the administration of the late Governor Priscilla L. Chiongbian which until now is sustainable and involved in the present IP development program of incumbent Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon specially in the crafting of Sarangani Indigenous Peoples Comprehensive Welfare and Development Code sponsored by Basino, the first such code in the Philippines. Mission accomplished: Surgical Mission Team

KIAMBA, Sarangani (November 2, 2017) - The five-day DOH, PHO and MHO-sponsored surgical mission draws to a close as members from the Surgical Mission Team gather in Lourdes Park on October 26 to celebrate the success of their mission. While the last of the more than 250 operations done was completed long after the sun had set, the mission team had an opportunity to sit down and pat each other on the back for a successful surgical mission. The team was joined by Sarangani Board Members Jess Bascuña and Rosemarie Sayo, and Municipal Councilor and chair of the Municipal Health Sector Dr. Antonio Yasaña in a buffet dinner against the beautiful backdrop of the Kiamba Sign and the Celebes Sea under the stars. Senior Citizens Day Celebration

KIAMBA, Sarangani (November 2, 2017) The Department of Interior and Local Government in conjunction with the Municipal Health Office and PADAC conducts a reevaluation for those who surrendered and answered the call for change in the country's war on drugs. This event held at Woodbridge Beach Resort in barangay Suli aims to help in the former drug users' stake in reestablishing themselves back to society as productive drug-free individuals. Organizers held various talks about the rationale and objectives and a talk about the dangers of smoking. The event was then closed off with a random drug test for verification of the attendees' situation and their willingness to change. The attendees were then treated to lunch by the host.
