ALABEL, Sarangani (April 7, 2017) – The local government unit of Sarangani (LGU Sarangani) is hastening its implementation of the diversified upland rice farming development project, a food sustainability intervention that the Department of Agriculture funded with P100 million under the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program.
According to Provincial Agriculturist Jonathan Duhaylungsod, procurement of planting materials and its package farming supplies for the province’s seven pilot barangays is underway.
The barangays are Pag-asa in Alabel, Tamban in Malungon, New Aklan in Glan, Kablacan in Maasim, Tamadang in Kiamba, Upo in Maitum and Kihan in Malapatan.
