NAC-IP Partylist funds IP Center

ALABEL, Sarangani (July 18, 2017) – During the ceremonial turnover of the Indigenous Peoples Learning Center on July 14, Ang National Coalition of Indigenous Peoples Action (ANAC-IP) Partylist Representative Jose Panganiban Jr. said “this IP Center is for all indigenous peoples and use it for the benefit of our tribes here in Sarangani.” Panganiban sponsored the P3-million project at the Capitol compound implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways in partnership with the provincial government headed by Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon through Resolution No. 2015-08-024 approved on March 3, 2015 from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan. The resolution, authored by Board Member Arman Guili and co-sponsored by all board members, requested the ANAC-IP Partylist to fund the construction of the IP Center. Students learn local tourism

Youth Empowerment Project

KIAMBA, Sarangani (July 18, 2017) - Kiamba is the second stop for Vice Governor Elmer de Peralta's Youth Empowerment Project following its successful launch in Maitum. As the project moves to Kiamba, student council members from different high schools around the municipality converged in the Municipal Civic Center on July 14 to participate in the Leadership and Values Reorientation Seminar Workshop. This workshop is one of three different workshops under the vice governor's project for Sarangani's future leaders. During the workshop, participants took part in activities which instill leadership skills and values. The participants also listened as guest speaker Pastor Michael Sarsaba talked about leadership and values reorientation. The other two seminars namely Parliamentary Workshop, and HIV and Early Pregnancy Awareness Seminar shall be completed within the next couple of weeks before the project moves to Maasim and other municipalities.
