Maitum opens new health center

MAITUM, Sarangani (March 20, 2018) - Vice Governor Elmer de Peralta, Board Member Jess Bascuna, Acting Mayor Tito Balazon, Municipal Rural Health Unit Officer Junie Basmillo and Barangay Captain Lolita Wanan formally open the new health center of Barangay Ticulab on March 16. Grass Owl restored to full health by ECPC

ALABEL, Sarangani (March 20, 2018) – Dr. Roy Mejorada, in-house veterinarian of the Environmental Conservation and Protection Center (ECPC), conducts physical examination of a Grass Owl found in Barangay Fatima, General Santos City on March 6. Mejorada found out that the owl is dehydrated. He then coordinated with the Provincial Health Office for available fluids/solution. The City Environment and Natural Resources Office and City Veterinary Office of General Santos City earlier contacted ECPC for help due to lack of facilities to cater to such case. Treated Grass Owl released

ALABEL, Sarangani (March 20, 2018) – A Grass Owl is released into the wild on March 15 after nine days of medication by the Environmental Conservation and Protection Center (ECPC). The dehydrated owl was found by John Karlu Maybuena at Barangay Fatima, General Santos City on March 6. The owl has no open wound or fracture, but skin tenting revealed a dehydrated bird. Provincial Fisheries Office breaks ground

ALABEL, Sarangani (March 15, 2018) – Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon; Abdelnaser Tarabasa, assistant regional director of Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR); and provincial officials initiate the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Provincial Fisheries Office on March 15.
