Bancarera SarBay Edition

GUMASA, Glan, Sarangani (May 26, 2018) – “Upgraded ang among makina, kaila na sad namo ang dagat kay wala mi lain praktis gawas sa experience namo isip mananagat (Our engines are upgraded and we know the sea because we don’t have any other practice aside from real life fishermen.)”

This is how Marvin Roldan of Team Jeric described his secret in winning the Bombo Radyo Bancarera Competition on May 25.

Roldan is the designated jockey for Jeric IV or Boat #38 as was commonly referred to on race day. He managed to captain Boat #38 to his second SarBay Bancarera gold or more impressively his 19th Bombo Radyo Bancarera top-honor.

Sarbay security heightened

GUMASA, Glan, Sarangani (May 26, 2018) - Sarbay organizers increased the number of uniformed personnel patrolling the Sarbay events area and its surroundings to ensure the safety of Sarbayers.

According to Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon, they raised security manpower to almost 500 this year.

A high-ranking police officer also said some 200 plainclothes security personnel were also deployed in Gumasa.
