Boat race

A gesture of friendship

Declaring Mahin Fest open

GUMASA, Glan (April 23, 2017)- Mayor Victor James B. Yap Sr. (3rd from left) together with Vice Mayor Vivien B. KIAMBA, Sarangani (April 21, 2017) – Kiamba barangays Gasi and Katubao each obtain brand new ambulance while Maligang receives a rescue vehicle as emergency augmentation support from the Department of Social Welfare and Development under its KALAHI-CIDSS National Community-Driven Development Project Makamasang Tugon Cycle. Abaca farmers in meeting

Kiamba, Sarangani (April 21, 2017)- Maligang Abaca farmers meet up for a pre-mission preparation for the enhancement on the production, processing and marketing for the High Quality Abaca Fiber Program as prelude to its formal take off in May. This Department of Agriculture’s (DA) Philippine Rural Development Plan program initiative, which is funded thru counterparting by World Bank and local government of Kiamba, is aimed at improving the lives of Abaca farmers especially the Indigenous Peoples in the barangay. Beefing up Abaca industry

Kiamba, Sarangani (April 21, 2017) – Farmer beneficiaries of the Department of Agriculture’s Philippine Rural Development Plan’s High Quality Abaca Fiber Program in Barangay Maligang are getting things all set for the program’s formal launching in May. Concreting of roads going to the upland areas of Maligang has already been initiated to provide easy transport of Abaca yields. Along with these developments, the farmers and the multipurpose cooperative they formed will directly benefit from the profits out of the increased Abaca yields the program targets.
