KIAMBA, Sarangani (April 11, 2017) – Board Member Fulung Fredo P. Basino, Provincial Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative, lectures about Republic Act 8371 known as Indigenous Peoples Right Act (IPRA) Law and on cultural sensitivity during the Municipal Women’s Congress 2017 at the Kiamba Civic Center on April 10 with the theme “We Make Change Work for Women”. IPMR Basino emphasized the important rights of the indigenous women as stipulated in the IPRA Law especially their cultures and traditions but he warned them not to adopt the early marriage traditions among the IPs.
