Alabel bet takes Pearl of Sarangani crown

Pearl of Sarangani bet passes LET

ALABEL, Sarangani (December 1, 2017) - Myca Espana, 21, representing the Municipality of Maitum is 2nd runner up during the Pearl of Sarangani 2017 pageant held at the Capitol grounds on November 29. Aside from the P7,500 cash prize, Espana, who is a graduate of Bachelor of Science Major in Elementary Education, passed the Licensure Exam for Teacher (LET) one day before the pageant. 4th Indigenous Peoples Congress

ALABEL, SARANGANI (November 30, 2017) – Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon speaks during the 4th Indigenous Peoples Congress on IP Day and Munato Festival celebration on November 29. The governor’s program is focused on the indigenous people especially on road opening in the upland areas. He mentioned the upland rice of IPs which enjoys high demand in the market through the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) program. The governor also expressed support to the IP Code sponsored by IP Representative Fulung Fredo P. Basino in the legislative council as a basic tool for development in the IP community especially in their ancestral domain. PIPMR delivers accomplishment report

ALABEL, SARANGANI (November 30, 2017) – Provincial Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (PIPMR) Fulung Fredo P. Basino delivers his accomplishment report to the public during the 4th Indigenous Peoples Congress on IP Day and Munato Festival celebration on November 29. Basino highlighted his accomplishments by saying that since he was selected and assumed as IP Representative in 2015 in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, he has sponsored at least 12 resolutions/ordinances, 13 referred and reviewed resolutions/ordinances, 2 introduced resolutions/ordinances approved/adopted in the legislative council particularly on the crafting of Indigenous Peoples Comprehensive and Development Welfare Code which was also approved and accepted by the Provincial Tribal Council.
