15 armed NPA rebels surrender in Sarangani

ALABEL, Sarangani (February 25, 2018) - Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon receives firearms from 15 newly-surrendered rebels during the Conference and Presentation of Newly Surrendered Rebels (NPA) at the Capitol Conference Room on February 23, assisted by Atty. Sarangani OFWs get cash aid from OWWA

PWDs get educational aid from government

ALABEL, Sarangani (February 25, 2018) – Person-with-disability (PWD) students from Cronasia Foundation College Inc. receive cash assistance of P5,000 each from the provincial government on January 31. Siblings Angeline Dialane (left), 19, and Andre Dialane, 23, are both 2nd year social work students with polio. They are residents of Malungon who are eager to attain high education, but unfortunately lack financial resources. In their case, disability never became a hindrance to achieve their goals, and this must be a motivation also to other PWDs. Sarangani holds Kindergarten Festival

Sarangani OFWs get cash aid from OWWA

ALABEL, Sarangani (February 25, 2018) – Seventeen distressed and displaced Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Sarangani have received P20,000 cash assistance each from the Balik Pinas! Balik Hanapbuhay! (BPBH) Livelihood program of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Charles Kevin Bataga, Family Welfare Officer of OWWA Region 12, said four OFWs from Alabel, five from Glan, and eight from Malapatan received the aid on February 15 at the Provincial Capitol.

The cash assistance is an added feature to the upgraded BPBH livelihood program aimed at providing better services to returning OFWs from being a non-cash assistance program.
