Of all the video entries submitted, 20 entries from the seven municipalities were judged by the validators and were invited to the Sarangan Awards 2020 on December 16 at the Capitol gymnasium. Minimum health protocols were followed in the conduct of the event.
The office of Vice Governor Elmer de Peralta, together with the validators and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, awarded Team Bulahan from Alabel 1st place, with P100,000 check and a plaque of recognition.
Team Querencia Production from Kiamba placed 2nd with P60,000 check and plaque, and Team Decadence from Alabel, won 3rd place, with P40,000 check and plaque, while non-winning entries took home P10,000 each.

Vice Governor De Peralta also honored the “Pandemic Heroes” or the frontliners, through giving of water jars or tumblers to barangay, municipal, and provincial frontline workers all over Sarangani.
“Like many native Sarangans, I am an external optimist that Sarangani will recover from this crisis with God’s help, as it has always been from all of our past challenges,” De Peralta said.
Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon also congratulated the Office of the Vice Governor and the Sanggunian for the success of the Sarangan Awards 2020 amidst the COVID-19 crisis.
“The Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Vice Governor Elmer, mga mayors, and the community itself, we are able to work together to make Sarangani province one of the least transmitted areas in the entire region. Let’s just keep doing what we are doing,” Governor Solon said. (Jori Mae R. Samillano/SARANGANI PROVINCIAL INFORMATION OFFICE)
