The resolution was endorsed to the Sanggunian by the Committee on Civil Service chaired by Board Member Ephraim Galzote, and vice chaired by Board Member Jess Bascuña.
This was in response to the endorsement from the office of Governor Rogelio “Ruel” D. Pacquiao “forwarding the appointment and pertinent papers of the said officials for the concurrence of the 11th Sanggunian.”
It was on July 1 when Ramos, Garcia, and Lapore assumed office as the newly-appointed heads of their respective offices.
PIO Lapore previously worked at the academic institution for 20 years and at the Office of Senator Manny Pacquiao for six years as a Supervising Legislative Staff Officer II.
She said she looks forward to “bringing forth innovative ideas that I gleaned from my years of service that will make efficient use of our information.”
“We don’t only want informed Sarangans, we want involved Sarangans,” the information officer said.
PLO Atty. Garcia on the other hand vowed to fully render his legal services to the province and said he is “confident to be an asset in Governor Pacquiao’s administration.”
Prior to being appointed Sarangani’s legal officer, Garcia once worked as the Regional Legal Officer of the Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Office IX and performed legal consulting work for then-Congressman Ruel Pacquiao.
PA Atty. Ramos, former Chief of Staff of then-Congressman Ruel Pacquiao, told the Sanggunian of his humble beginnings in the government service when he was then a member of the local legislative staff of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan in 2004.
Atty. Ramos also assured the SP members that the “legislative and executive branches of the provincial government will have a harmonious and mutual relationship” under the current administration.
The 11th Sangguniang Panlalawigan is the legislative body of the provincial government of Sarangani responsible for the enactment of ordinances, approval of resolutions, and appropriation of government funds. (Jori Mae R. Samillano/SARANGANI PROVINCIAL INFORMATION OFFICE)
