She thanked former Senator Manny Pacquiao, Congressman Steve Chiongbian Solon, Governor Rogelio “Ruel” D. Pacquiao, Vice Governor Elmer De Peralta, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, and the tourism office of the province.
Paraluman also expressed her gratitude to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Provincial and Municipal ENROs, and Protected Area Management Board-Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape (PAMB-SBPS) “as they were the ones who really initiated my environmental activities.”
Paraluman said the Miss Philippines Earth organization has recognized Sarangani for having “the Best Eco-Video towards the Marine Preservation and Conservation.”
The Sarangan beauty queen advocates for “Sustainable Fishing and the Protection of the Marine Wildlife” of Sarangani Bay.
Knowing her hometown, Alabel, is one of the biggest bangus exporters, Paraluman said this sparked an idea for her to campaign for sustainable fishing as fishing is also one of the major sources of living for the people of Sarangani.
“I hope that we continue our initiatives towards the environment. As caretakers, I hope that we take care of our environment, especially our Sarangani Bay,” Paraluman appealed.
