Sarangani Junior Officials 2022 kick off face-to-face panel interview

ALABEL, Sarangani (August 10, 2022) – In partnership with the Provincial Youth Development Division (PYDD), the Sarangani Junior Officials Alumni Association (SJOAA) held a face-to-face panel interview on August 9 to determine the Top 16 Sarangani Junior Officials 2022.

Thirty-three SJO 2022 aspirants coming from the different municipalities of Sarangani qualified to proceed to the panel interview, wherein they were judged based on their potential, personality traits, and psychosocial attributes.

The sifting process was led by three esteemed and accoladed Sarangan leaders who served as the interview’s adjudicators. Rozenkranz G. Espartero, the Executive Assistant of Governor Ruel Pacquiao, represented First Lady Jobelle Pacquiao as one of the panelists of this year’s SJO selection process. PESO Officer Glenda S. Revaño was also in attendance to choose youth aspirants with the most potential to complete the list.

Provincial Information Officer Joanna Grace B. Lapore led the interview's psychosocial aspect, gearing questions to the aspirants for them to ponder over and respond to. Lastly, representing the youth sector, Diofel Tampoy, Junior Board Member 2017 SJO Alumni Association, aided in sifting the aspirants to refine the final list of SJOs.

Sarangani Local Youth Development Unit (LYDU) assisted in spearheading the panel interview, led by John Oliver M. Tablazon and Community Affairs Officer Gretchin D. Bone. The initiative has helped and incubated the Sarangan youth to become committed leaders and life-long learners, representing the province with their innate skillset and honed talents.

The annual youth-centered activity formally opened for application last July 19 after two years of hiatus caused by the pandemic. Aspirants would have to undergo three selection phases: application, examination, and oral interview. The Top 2 applicants from each municipality will be picked to fill the 14 available spots. The final two seats will be filled by wildcard candidates. The declaration of SJOs will be on August 11, followed by their formal deployment in the Provincial Capitol from August 13 to August 19.
