Sarangani reviews projects, finalizes PDIP

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (August 19, 2022) – Sarangani Capitol department heads and planning officers convened on August 18-19 to finalize the project proposals for inclusion in the 2023 - 2028 Provincial Development Investment Plan (PDIP).

The 2-day PDIP Integration Workshop was held at Tierra Montana Hotel in General Santos City.

Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Alain J. Alcala anticipated that the PDIP would realize a "more rational, more doable plan" and would ensure the implementation readiness of the projects.

The PDIP contains a prioritized list of programs, projects, and activities culled out from the yearly Annual Investment Plan (AIP) to be implemented within a six-year period.

"Previously, due to the absence of the PDIP, our AIP bloated to something like P6 billion," Alcala said.

"That is why," he said, he is "very much insistent" to have the PDIP finalized "so we can have a more rationalized, comprehensive planning and programming for 2023 to 2028."

The PDIP, he said, is a commitment that may be considered as one of the accomplishments of Governor Rogelio "Ruel" D. Pacquiao during his first 100 days report in October. (Beverly C. Paoyon/ SARANGANI PROVINCIAL INFORMATION OFFICE)
