P20-M infra projects to benefit Barangay Tamadang villagers

KIAMBA, Sarangani (August 24, 2022) – As one of the barangays in the province to receive funds for the barangay projects and programs from the Local Government Support Fund-Support to Barangay Development Program (LGSF-SBDP), Barangay Tamadang formally inaugurated its farm-to-market road and Barangay Health Center on August 23.

The fund from the LGSF-SBDP amounting to P20 million is part of the implementation of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) program. NTF-ELCAC aims to integrate government programs and efforts to actively engage the involvement of the sectors and communities in the farthest areas of the province.

The fund was used for the construction of the Barangay Health Center, amounting to P8 million, and for the upgrading of the farm-to-market roads in Puroks Linlingay and Pag-asa, worth P11.9 million.

Governor Rogelio "Ruel" D. Pacquiao, together with Mayor George "Jong" Falgui, led the ribbon-cutting and turnover ceremony.

It was participated in by Department of the Interior and Local Government Provincial Director Engr. Samuel Camaganacan, Barangay Captain Juanito Sampan, some municipal and barangay officials, and some Provincial Capitol department heads.

During the activity, various basic services were also delivered in the area through the Ronda Probinsya and Serbisyo Caravan para sa Sarangan programs.

Governor Pacquiao enjoined everyone to extend support to the government in ending local communist and terrorist activities in the province through the provision of basic social services and implementation of the LGSF SBDP "to give them hope for a better life."

Mayor Falgui thanked all the agencies and stakeholders for their assistance and services to the locals, as well as for bringing various projects to the area, which he said will improve the living conditions of the residents. (Joshua John S. Pantonial/SARANGANI PROVINCIAL INFORMATION OFFICE)
