Brush teeth 3x a day

MAITUM, Sarangani (February 20, 2022) – Kids from Gawad Kalinga Eco Village enjoy brushing their teeth together as they join the celebration of National Oral Health Month with the theme “Brushing is a MUST. Kahit naka MASK” held at GK Eco Village in Barangay Mabay on February 17. Dental and oral health are important factors of general health and well-being. Without proper oral hygiene, bacteria can build up to the point where they cause oral infections including tooth decay and gum disease. According to research, oral health care plays a big role in preventing other diseases. This year’s celebration of oral health month reminds that regardless of the pandemic, where everyone is compelled to wear a mask and our teeth are concealed most of the time, it is still important to practice proper oral hygiene such as brushing at least three times a day.
