“You have made the province what it is,” Gov. Solon tells Capitol employees
ALABEL, Sarangani (March 29, 2022) – Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon speaks before provincial government employees on March 28, during the Loyalty Awarding and Oath-taking Ceremony at the Capitol gym. Solon congratulated the 89 loyalty awardees and the 23 newly-appointed employees, and also explained the “dynamics of how hiring has been” since the start of his administration. Solon said, despite him being the appointing officer, the department heads and division chiefs also play a vital role in the decision-making of promoting employees. “I try as much as possible na hindi talaga mahaluan ng pulitika itong decision-making na ito,” he said. He also thanked the Capitol employees and said “you have really made this province what it is, lahat talaga kayo may parte sa pag-uswag sa atong probinsya. Also without God’s help I think it’s really impossible,” he added. The awarding of loyalty plaques to Capitol employees who rendered 15 and 20 years in service and the oath-taking ceremony of the newly-appointed employees were spearheaded by the Human Resource Management and Development Office. Capitol employees receive loyalty plaques from govt
ALABEL, Sarangani (March 29, 2022) – The Provincial Government of Sarangani awards Nimrod Del Sol (extreme right), administrative aide IV of Sangguniang Panlalawigan Secretary Office (SP-SEC), a plaque of loyalty on March 28, for his 20 years of dedication and service to the provincial government, during the Loyalty Awarding and Oath-taking Ceremony at the Capitol gym. Del Sol, who started his public service in the Capitol in 2001, expressed his gratitude to the local government and to the people who took part in his two decades of public service. “Magpasalamat ta nga naa ta’y trabaho ug tagaan nato ug value ang atong trabaho. Let’s love our work, and always be patient and active sa atong trabaho,” Del Sol said as he spoke before his co-government employees. Governor Solon thanks Madaris for Peace facilitators
ALABEL, Sarangani (March 29, 2022) – Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon speaks before guests during the Madaris General Assembly on March 24 at the Capitol gym. More than 240 Asatids who serve as the Madaris facilitators from all over the province including volunteers attended the activity. Solon extended his gratitude to all the facilitators and volunteers who have been doing their job since the establishment of the Madaris for Peace project during the administration under the late Governor Priscilla L. Chiongbian. Every year, the project accommodates over 3,000 students. The program serves as the foundation of the Arabic literacy and values education among Muslim students all over Sarangani. Congressman Pacquiao gives additional funding for Madaris for Peace project
ALABEL, Sarangani (March 29, 2022) – Deputy Speaker Congressman Ruel Pacquiao graces the Madaris General Assembly on March 24 at the Capitol gym. The activity was a gathering of all the Madrasah facilitators and volunteers all over Sarangani which according to Hasna Hashim, Madaris for Peace project manager, is the "first after three years" because of the restrictions brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. The project’s mission, vision, goals and objectives were also tackled during the activity to further strengthen the organization. To sustain not only the education campaign of the project, the office of Congressman Pacquiao has also given an additional funding source amounting to P100,000 to support the economic activity of the program that will help the volunteers and their families. The Halwani Services Singapore in support of the Al Ihsan Resource Center which have been the strong partners of the province in realizing the objectives of the Madaris for Peace project have also given one unit of projector and photocopier which were identified by the facilitators as part of their "needs" to help them produce more modules to aid them in delivering their services to their students. The activiy was also attended by Vice Governor Elmer De Peralta and Board Members Irish Louie Arnado-Beñola, Ephraim Galzote, Corazon Grafilo, Joseph Calanao, Jose Tranquilino Ruiz, Jess Bascuña and Rosemarie Sayo. Bangsamoro Communication Network to partner with LGU Sarangani to sustain lasting peace
ALABEL, Sarangani (March 29, 2022) – Sheikh Nhurol Am Abdullah (left) of Bangsamoro Communication Network (BCN), together with some of its officials, pays a courtesy call to Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon on March 24 at Kasfala Hall, Capitol compound. The talk centered on the goals and objectives of the BCN particularly on becoming an instrument to advocate peaceful elections this coming May. Abdullah added that their organization also aims to help sustain the peace and order in the province through “prevention of the violent extremism.” Abdullah and the team also presented to Governor Solon the organization’s direction, mission and vision especially on strengthening the public-private partnership to sustain a lasting peace in the province. TESDA Secretary Lapeña commends the excellent performance of Governor Solon for peace and development
ALABEL, Sarangani (March 29, 2022) – Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Secretary Isidro Lapeña, who is also the Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security (CORDS) for SOCCSKSARGEN Region, presides over the 27th Joint Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (JRTF-ELCAC) meeting on March 25 at the Capitol gym. The meeting centered on the discussion of the different agencies on their accomplishments, especially on the barangay development plan. Lapeña also commended the excellence of Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon on his active participation and direction to “end the local communists” in the province. “If all LCEs are just like Governor Steve who is active and has a very good performance in delivering different government services to the far-flung areas, we will really achieve lasting peace,” said Lapeña. ALABEL, Sarangani (March 29, 2022) – Lizette Lopez, provincial ELCAC (End Local Communist Armed Conflict) focal person, welcomes Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Secretary Isidro Lapeña during his visit to the Capitol compound for the 27th Joint Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (JRTF-ELCAC) meeting on March 25. Together with Lopez were Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Provincial Director Samuel Camaganacan and Assistant Provincial Administrator for operations Engr. Gerald Faciol. ADAC marker awarded to Sarangani by DILG, PDEA
ALABEL, Sarangani (March 29, 2022) – Engr. Samuel Camaganacan (left), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) provincial director, and Jerome Valentos (right), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) provincial officer, turn over the marker from the National Anti-Drug Abuse Council Assessment Committee to the provincial government of Sarangani, on March 28 during the flag-raising ceremony at the Capitol grounds. The award was given by the National ADAC Committee to the province of Sarangani for ranking 10th nationwide and garnering a 95% score in the 2021 ADAC Performance Audit. Engr. Gerald Faciol (center), assistant provincial administrator for operations, received the award on behalf of the officials and employees of Sarangani. Baganis from Alabel receive assistance from TESDA
ALABEL, Sarangani (March 29, 2022) - Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Secretary Isidro Lapeña leads the distribution of food packs and cash assistance worth P5,000 each to 25 Baganis (Kamlong Banwe) during the 27th Joint Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (JRTF-ELCAC) meeting on March 25 at the Capitol gym. The Baganis are composed of the Indigenous People and former rebels from Barangay Alegria in Alabel. They also received livelihood and skills training from TESDA, particularly on carpentry which was used when they were sent to Sumilom Island and Surigao for the TESDAmayan or the rehabilitation efforts through extending assistance to those affected households during Typhoon Odette last December. Lapeña also commended the efforts of the provincial officials headed by Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon and said “the presence of these individuals is the product of a good government management and effective peace and development programs and projects.” The secretary also acknowledged the Baganis. “Nagbalik loob sila sa gobyerno at ngayon ay katuwang na sa mga gawaing makatao kabilang na ang pangagalaga sa kalikasan at pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan," Lapeña said.
