Officials grace Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan towards National Recovery in Alabel
ALABEL, Sarangani (March 6, 2022) – (From left) Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon, Labor and Employment Secretary Silvestre “Bebot” Bello III, and Mayor Vic Paul Salarda grace the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan towards National Recovery on February 26 at Alabel municipal gym. The caravan aims to bring the services of the government to the members of the community and at the same time to give emphasis on the government’s programs, policies, accomplishments and efforts that have brought real change to the lives of the Filipino people. During the activity, some 53 members of the indigenous people (IP) community were given livelihood starter packs. The Department of Social Welfare and Development regional office and the provincial government of Sarangani headed by Governor Solon, Deputy Speaker Congressman Ruel Pacquiao, Vice Governor Elmer De Peralta and all the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members also distributed food packs to the beneficiaries. Some regional directors were also present during the activity including Rafael Abrogar II of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Raymundo Agravante of the Department of Labor and Employment, and Jeanne Anne Moendeg Zoilo of the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency. Maitum launches Covid-19 vaccination for children
MAITUM, Sarangani (March 6, 2022) – COVID-19 Vaccination for Children ages five to 11 officially begins in Maitum as it launches the vaccination for children at the Municipal Gymnasium. During the pediatric vaccination drive kick-off for five to 11 years old on March 2, Rural Health Physician Dr. Katherine Quidilla, who headed the event, encouraged everyone specially the parents and guardians to allow their children to be vaccinated for it is safe and effective. She also expressed her gratitude towards the parents who supported the event. For the community's safety and health, Municipal Administrator Ruben Balanag urged the children and their parents to invite their peers to be vaccinated. The party themed vaccination entertained the kids as they waited for their turn. Movies for them were played at the registration area. A short intermission number was also participated by nurses, mascots from BFP - Maitum and kids who danced to the beat. Party bags, balloons and ice cream were given as well after the vaccination. Pediatric vaccination drive kicks off
MAITUM, Sarangani (March 6, 2022) - Eight-year-old Jairylle Friya De Asis patiently waits for her first dose of Covid-19 vaccine as the nurse checks her vitals during the pediatric vaccination drive kick-off for five to 11 years old on March 2. As authorized by the Food and Drug Administration, only Pfizer-BioNTech would be given to children ages 5-11 years old. The Rural Health Unit of Maitum recorded a total of 69 children who successfully received their first dose of vaccine against COVID-19. DOLE Secretary Bello visits Alabel town
ALABEL, Sarangani (March 6, 2022) – Labor and Employment Secretary Silvestre “Bebot” Bello III leads the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan towards National Recovery on February 26 at Alabel municipal gym. The activity was attended by various national government agencies including the Departments of Agriculture, Social Welfare and Development, Trade and Industry, Labor and Employment, Cooperative Department Authority, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, Philippine National Police, Philippine Army, and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples . The visit was purposely done to extend assistance to some 53 identified beneficiaries who each received livelihood starter packs. DOLE Secretary Bello leads distribution of assistance to IP beneficiaries
ALABEL, Sarangani (March 6, 2022) – Labor and Employment Secretary Silvestre “Bebot” Bello III leads the distribution of livelihood starter packs to some indigenous people (IP) beneficiaries of Alabel on February 26 during the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan towards National Recovery at Alabel municipal gym. The beneficiaries also received brand-new bicycles to be used for their delivery businesses under the BIKECINATION Project. They also received automotive tire vulcanizing, dressmaking and repair, metal fabrication, welding, and carpentry tools and machinery. Starter packs for vegetable production, taho making, painting services, frozen goods production vending, native delicacies making and banana cue vending were also turned over. Mayor Vic Paul Salarda expressed his gratitude for the different projects and programs entrusted by the Duterte administration for the people of Alabel. “Dakong kalipay gyud ang gibati dili lang nako, kundili tanang katawhan sa Alabel tungod sa mga kabag-ohang dala sa kasamtangang administrasyon ilawum sa liderato ni Presidente Duterte,” Salarda said. “Tinud-anay ug malungtaron na gyud ang Alabel tungod sa kalinaw nga nakab-ot sa atong mga lugar diri nga balwarte kaniadto sa mga walhung grupo nga CPP-NPA,” he added.
