SLT for next generations

MALAPATAN, SARANGANI (September 13, 2017) - Bai Estelita Tumandan Bantilan (center), 75, who was conferred the Gawad sa Manlilikha ng Bayan or the National Living Treasures Award on mat weaving by President Rodrigo Duterte, demonstrates her skills to Lorie Jane Manggay (right), 16, and Keziah Jane Tablo, 9, at the School of Living Tradition (SLT) in Sitio Upper Lasang, Sapu Masla on September 8. The skills of the elderly are vital to be preserved and passed on to the next generations. The SLT is supervised under Sulong Tribu program of Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, and Filip+ina/NGAs especially in the provision of infra and logistic support for sustainability in order to preserve the cultural heritage of the indigenous peoples in Sarangani. Sarangani pioneered Justice on Wheels

ALABEL, Sarangani (September 13, 2017) - Court Administrator of the Supreme Court Jose Midas Marquez speaks at the Justice on Wheels and the Increasing Access to Justice by the Poor Program on September 5 at Sarangani Provincial Jail. Marquez made an appreciation of the bus donated by the provincial government that was turned into a mobile court. “Sarangani actually owns several distinctions. The first is the first province which donated a bus for the Enhanced Justice on Wheels,” Marquez said. “Sarangani was visited by the last three chief justices. Sarangani lang po ang nabisita ng mga chief justices. Wala akong ibang alam na lalawigan na napuntahan nila. And also because Sarangani has been very, very supportive of our justice system”. Advocating peace with MILF

Accuracy competition winners named
