PRC awards Maitum blood galloners

MAITUM, Sarangani (August 23, 2022) – Jesril J. Jingco of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) collects blood from LGU employee volunteer Afren De Guzman during the Blood Donors Recognition Ceremony at the municipal gymnasium on August 22. De Guzman later received a pin and galloner card from the PRC. The PRC also awarded the same pin and recognition to Jan Rubia, Cherry Rose Valdez, Reginal Delfin, Desiderio Abalos, Shiekha Boque, Edie Lasala and Cyril Vincent Montebon. Blood donors who have supplied the PRC with blood ranging from nine to up to 50, 75 and 100 times were accorded the Blood Galloners, Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals, respectively. Blood Donors Recognition Ceremony

MAITUM, Sarangani (August 23, 2022) – Dr. Marilyn O. Silauso, Municipal Health Officer in Charge, awards the galloner pin to Jan Rubia, a regular blood donor, as a recognition for having donated a total of 11 blood units. Rubia was one of the awardees during the Blood Donors Recognition Ceremony at the municipal gymnasium on August 22. The galloner pin is given to blood donors who have donated 9 or more blood units. All Barangay Local Government Units of Maitum were also given a certificate of appreciation for their valuable support in the blood donation campaigns. MAITUM, Sarangani (August 22, 2022) – The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG) distributed some 45,000 tilapia fingerlings and 20,000 hito or catfish fingerlings to backyard fish farmers of Maitum, Kiamba, and Maasim on August 22.

They are set to distribute a total of P2 million worth of 75,000 tilapia fingerlings, 75,000 hito fingerlings, and 600 bags of feeds to 150 beneficiaries from all the seven municipalities of Sarangani.

ALABEL, Sarangani (August 22, 2022) - The Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Office XII (DSWD XII) has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Sarangani for the prepositioning of resources augmentation to warehouses outside DSWD hubs.

On August 22, Governor Rogelio "Ruel" D. Pacquiao led the ceremonial signing of the MOA together with DSWD XII Regional Director Restituto B. Macuto at the Provincial Governor’s Office.

DAVAO CITY (August 21, 2022) - Through the Accelerated Executive Session for Governor (AESG), Sarangani Gov. Rogelio "Ruel" D. Pacquiao affirmed his commitment to collaborate with the seven municipal mayors in addressing the issue on malnutrition.

The AESG focused on "Strengthening Integrated Provincial Leadership and Governance for Nutrition in the Province of Sarangani." It was conducted by the Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Foundation and Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF) on August 19 at Acacia Hotel, Davao City.

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (August 19, 2022) – Sarangani Capitol department heads and planning officers convened on August 18-19 to finalize the project proposals for inclusion in the 2023 - 2028 Provincial Development Investment Plan (PDIP).

The 2-day PDIP Integration Workshop was held at Tierra Montana Hotel in General Santos City.

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (August 19, 2022) – Some 27 emergency responders from all over Sarangani attended the Standard First Aid (SFA) and Basic Life Support-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BSL-CPR) training from August 15 to 19 at Greenleaf Hotel.

The activity was spearheaded by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Rene Punzalan in coordination with the Department of Health Regional Office XII (DOH XII)-Health and Emergency Bureau.

MALAPATAN, Sarangani (August 16, 2022) - In support of Governor Rogelio "Ruel" D. Pacquiao’s vision to bring public service closer to the people, the Serbisyo Caravan para sa Sarangan continues to deliver various social services to the community.

On August 16, some 500 locals from Barangay Sapu Masla attended the Serbisyo Caravan activity.

They availed various social services, including free medical checkup, legal advice, and received various livelihood assistance from the different national, provincial, municipal, and barangay agencies and offices.
