Conducive health facility needed in Sarangani - Sen. Pacquiao

ALABEL, Sarangani (July 16, 2020) - Senator Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao graces the ceremonial turn-over and ribbon-cutting of the Provincial Department of Health Office and Integrated Provincial Health Office (PDOHO-PHO) on July 15. Pacquiao gave his words of wisdom and highlighted the struggles and dedication of the people behind the PDOHO-PHO building. In 2012, when Senator Pacquiao was still the congressman of Sarangani, one of the problems he has seen was the lack of proper and conducive health facility in the province. “Nakita ko na wala talagang hospital ang probinsya at nabahala ako noon dahil sa population natin na mahigit sa kalahating milyon na noong time na yun. So sabi ko, gagawin ko ang lahat para makapag-patayo ng hospital kasama na itong building na ito, health office building para sa ating mga doctors and other health staff,” Pacquiao said. He added, “nagpapasalamat ako sa ating Panginoon dahil natupad yung pinapangarap natin mula pa noon, kahit di pa tapos at least we’re moving forward little by little”. In this time of the pandemic, Pacquiao appealed, “maghiusa tang tanan para ma-solve ang problema sa atong nasud. Let us always remember that everything is possible with God.” (Jake Narte-Joshua John Pantonial/SARANGANI PROVINCIAL INFORMATION OFFICE)

De Peralta, M.D. was guest speaker during the kick-off on July 6 of the 25th Police Community Relations Month Celebration of the Philippine National Police in the province. The theme for this year is: ?????????? ?? ??????? ?? ????????? ?? ???????, ????? ?? ????? 19 ????????".

Vice Governor De Peralta reiterated the PNP Vision, which is to "Serve and to Protect the People", yet this time not against crimes only but on maintaining discipline and order among all the residents of the seven municipalities to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

"Needless to say, the LGUs have executed and legislated what needs to be done but a great deal of help also comes from its full implementation with the help of the Sarangani PNP," he said.

"Because of your commitment to safety and security, we have significantly lesser cases of Covid as compared to other provinces. Kung hindi dahil sa inyo, baka siguro mas marami pa ang kaso dito sa probinsya ng Sarangani,” Vice Governor De Peralta continued.

"Truly, the PNP has advocated the public health safety decorum like the wearing of face masks, strict implementation of social distancing and practice of proper hygiene all throughout the province."

The vice governor also said "all frontliners are commended for performing their jobs judiciously in this fight against an unseen enemy. The PNP personnel are definitely taking one of the most demanding responsibilities, because you all have consistently worked hard if not to prevent but at least mitigate Covid-19 cases here in Sarangani. Sa inyo, marami pong salamat. (Rhey Gatcho/DOKVICE MEDIA TEAM)
