Zuellig awards Sarangani health champions

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (July 31, 2020) – (On-screen) Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF) awards Sarangani Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon, Dr. Arvin Alejandro, provincial health officer, and Dr. Gabriel Fernandez, assistant provincial health officer, as graduates of the Health Leadership and Governance Program (HLGP) module 2 on July 29 at Greenleaf Hotel. The HLGP is a three-year joint program of the Department of Health (DOH) and ZFF that is designed to develop leadership and governance capabilities of Local Chief Executives (LCE) and other local health leaders under the Universal Health Care Program. Patterned after ZFF’s Health Change Model, the HLGP employs a combination of technologies and approaches in bridging leadership for health leaders and health systems approach or technical roadmap using the World Health Organization’s six building blocks of a local health system development; strengthening community health teams and local health boards towards improving health governance, health-seeking behavior and service delivery at the community level; and results management that measures performance in terms of outputs, outcomes, and impact based on a logical program framework.
