ALABEL, Sarangani (November 4, 2021) – Provincial Health Officer Dr. Arvin Alejandro expresses gratitude to the Department of Health for the P95-M worth of medical equipment turned over on October 26 which “are a great help especially that there is still a threat from Covid-19.” The equipment “can aid us to cater those infected individuals para mabigyan sila ng agarang medical attention.” Alejandro further appealed and encouraged the public to take their vaccines “hindi ibig sabihin na we have quality machineries from our partners eh, magpapabaya na tayo. A sense of responsibility and discipline are still the important keys to avoid Covid-19.” The brand-new medical equipment for the province’s government hospitals were part of the assistance Sarangani received being a pilot site for the implementation of the Universal Health Care Law. The law guarantees every Filipino equitable access to quality and affordable health care goods and services and helps ensure that every Filipino has the access to affordable, quality, and readily available health services.
