Agreement on Saub Watershed Ecosystem signed

ALABEL, Sarangani (January 30, 2018) – The proponent which is the Provincial Government of Sarangani represented by Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon (center), together with its implementing partners which are the Mindanao State University-General Santos City represented by newly-installed chancellor Dr. Anshari Ali (seated left), the Municipality of Maitum represented by Mayor Alexander Bryan Reganit (seated right), the Mahintana Foundation Incorporated represented by its President/CEO Martiniano Magdolot (extreme right), and the Conrado and Ladislawa Alcantara Foundation Incorporated represented by the representative of Executive Director Richlie Lyndon Magtulis, Reynato Panes (extreme left), sign the official papers of the Memorandum of Agreement on Saub Watershed Ecosystem Rehabilitation and Flood Risk Reduction for Increased Resilience Project on January 29 at JLC Bldg. Conference Room, Capitol Compound. The MOA signing was witnessed by Vice Governor Elmer de Peralta and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, and the National Agency Partners which are the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the National Commission of Indigenous Peoples, and the Department of Trade and Industry. The total project cost of almost P103 million, with P93 million from the People’s Survival Fund and P9 million from the Provincial Local Government Unit, and with a project term of three years (2019-2021).
