Sarangani co-presents Philippine Eagle documentary

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (June 13, 2019) - Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Regional Executive Director Nilo Tamoria (3rd from left), Maitum Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer Nanette Nacional (2nd from left), Maitum Municipal Accountant and Information Officer-Designate Elizabeth N. Ramos (3rd from right), and Sarangani Environmental Conservation and Protection Center (ECPC) Executive Director Cornelio Ramirez Jr. (extreme right) pose for a photo opportunity during the community viewing of the "Bird of Prey", a 90-minute Philippine Eagle documentary, on June 10. The film is produced by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology in partnership with Emmy Award-winning cinematographer Neil Rettig and the Philippine Eagle Foundation, and co-presented by Protect Wildlife - USAID and the provincial government of Sarangani. Also, Maitum's rich and thick forestland is home for a Philippine Eagle named "Sarangani Pride". Scores of representatives from Maitum came to watch the documentary to be able to know more on how to protect and conserve "Sarangani Pride" and its habitat.
