Philippine Eagle takes SARGEN audience in awe

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (June 13, 2019) - Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) Director for Research and Conservation Dr. Jayson Ibañez welcomes guests during the free public screening of the Philippine Eagle documentary entitled "Bird of Prey" on June 10 at Robinson's Mall Cinema. The "Bird of Prey" is a 90-minute eagle documentary produced by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology in partnership with Emmy Award-winning cinematographer Neil Rettig and the PEF. According to PEF executive director Dennis Salvador, the film follows an eagle family in the wild until the young flew successfully off the nest. It also explores the complexities of protecting the Philippine national bird and what it takes to save it. The film will be screened all over the country this year, and Sarangani/General Santos City (SARGEN) is one of the five special screenings to be held in Mindanao in celebration of the Philippine Eagle Week.
