P4.5-billion Hydropower Plant to rise in Siguil River, Maasim

MAASIM, Sarangani (November 26, 2019) - Nicasio I. Alcantara, Director for the Alsons Consolidated Resources, points out to President Rodrigo Duterte the location of the powerhouse for the Siguil Hydro Power Corp. (SHPC) on a diorama of the project's components during the formal launch of the construction of the power plant along with the inauguration of the second phase of Sarangani Energy Corporation’s 210-megawatt coal-fired power plant on November 22. The P4.5-billion Siguil Hydro Project is the first renewable energy plant that the Alsons Power Group will be building. During the program, Tomas Alcantara, Chairman of Alsons Consolidated Resources, said that in the coming years they envision to have more renewable energy facilities compared to the traditional thermal energy plants like coal and diesel in their portfolio.
