Border security apply stricter measures

ALABEL, Sarangani (May 6, 2020) – Officers from the Philippine National Police, Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine Marine Corps attend the security team consultative meeting on May 5 at the provincial gymnasium. Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon led the assembly and reminded the men in uniform about their role in battling the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic as the frontline personnel manning the border points of Sarangani. Solon said “now that we have moved from ECQ to GCQ, it doesn’t mean na magiging passive tayo when it comes to implementing our policies, mas kinakailangan tayong maging strikto, because in GCQ, more people will come and go to our province that’s why we have to be stricter and teach more our people on what to do”. Solon also showed the summary and core points of the recently conducted teleconference with Dr. Edgar Jolly Santos who is an emergency medicine consultant from a private hospital in an area in Luzon with high COVID-19 transmissions. The attendees were also following the precautionary measures like the wearing of masks and the 2-meter physical distancing.
