SPPO asks for MAKIMA police mobile force

ALABEL, Sarangani (June 25, 2020) – PLTCOL Joffel Remudaro, deputy provincial director for operations of the Sarangani Provincial Police Office (SPPO), attends the regular session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan on June 23 at the Capitol gym to represent the SPPO in the request to pass a resolution for the creation of the second additional Provincial Mobile Force Company to be situated in the municipalities of Maasim, Kiamba, and Maitum (MAKIMA). The draft resolution was introduced by Board Member Arman Guili, chairman of the Committee on Public Order, Safety and Illegal Drug Abuse, upon the endorsement of Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon to the 10th Sangguniang Panlalawigan. “We are here requesting for a resolution to support also our request from the higher headquarters for creating another mobile force company to be situated specifically in MAKIMA area. One reason is to augment the depleted strength of our municipal police stations,” said Remudaro. “There might be relocations of the one company of PRO12, the Regional Mobile Force Battalion, which is currently situated in MAKIMA, as they will be securing the regional boundaries because of COVID-19. This is one of our interventions, to secure the municipal and provincial boundaries and coastal areas in the three municipalities of Sarangani dito sa District 1,” he added. Presently, Sarangani has one Provincial Mobile Force Company which is the SPPO located in barangay Kawas in Alabel.
