National CMCI Virtual Summit

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (December 22, 2020) – Milbie Daguro, Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index (CMCI) provincial coordinator, talks before the municipal CMCI coordinators and staff from the different towns in Sarangani during the National CMCI Virtual Summit on December 16 at Anchor Hotel. Daguro expressed her gratitude to all the Local Government Units (LGU) who have exerted their efforts for this year’s CMCI. She said that the category where most of the LGUs in the province excelled “is very timely” as the country is currently facing a pandemic. She added that this proves how the province is really putting emphasis on resiliency. Daguro said, “resiliency is the capacity of the LGUs to uphold or to continue and expand the businesses in the locality despite the calamities and pandemic and that means we have that ability to maintain a globally competitive environment despite the situation." She also challenged all the LGUs to strive harder to be part of the finalists and do more to be included in the finalists for the other pillars next year.
