3 Sarangani towns in top 20 CMCI

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (December 22, 2020) – Some Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index (CMCI) municipal coordinators and staff from the different towns of Sarangani take a pose during the National CMCI Virtual Summit on December 16 at Anchor Hotel. The CMCI is an annual ranking developed by the National Competitiveness Council through the Regional Competitiveness Committees with the assistance of the United States Agency for International Development to stimulate competition among Local Government Units (LGUs). CMCI started in 2014 and is anchored on four pillars: economic dynamism, government efficiency, infrastructure and resiliency. For this year’s CMCI, three of the seven towns in Sarangani were able to enter the top 20 as the most competitive LGU for the resiliency pillar. Alabel, Maasim and Malungon towns ranked 14th, 13th and 3rd respectively. (Joshua John Pantonial/SARANGANI PROVINCIAL INFORMATION OFFICE)
