Health workers and rescuers get rice from PLGU

MAITUM, Sarangani (December 23, 2020) – A service vehicle from Barangay Mabay ferries a total of 26 sacks of rice on December 22 at Maitum Rural Health Unit. The rice assistance was from the provincial local government unit (PLGU) of Sarangani intended for all the health workers including the staff from the provincial and municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management offices. The rice assistance has an allotted budget of P8 million which benefited a total of 3,049 health workers in Sarangani. Ronilyne Grace Moneva, public health nurse of Barangay Mabay, extended her gratitude to the provincial government especially Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon and the Provincial Health Office for the “timely Christmas gift.” “Nagpapasalamat po ako in behalf sa aking mga kasamahang health workers para sa napakalaking pamaskong galing po sa province," said Moneva. Each health worker in the province received two sacks of 25 kilos of rice. A total of 253 health workers in Maitum received the rice assistance while 474 health workers benefited from Glan; 630 in Malungon; 427 in Kiamba; 352 in Maasim; 297 in Malapatan; 390 in Alabel; 28 from the PDRRMO; 53 from the PHO; and 145 from Sarangani Health Care Facility.
