FFS sponsored by Agricultural Training Institute, OMAg, OPAg

MAITUM, Sarangani (January 27, 2021) – Mercidita Aglibot, high-value crops development program focal person of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) - Department of Agriculture (DA) XII, speaks during the graduation ceremony of the Season-Long Farmers’ Field School (FFS) on Organic Farming Production on January 26 at Greenfield, Barangay Wali. Aglibot expressed her gratitude to all the participants who joined the FFS for 16 weeks. She said that “the activity really helped the participants learn and develop a keen observation on the interaction of the different factors affecting their crop growth and come up with an effective decision on what actions to be done in their respective studies after group discussion and data processing.” Aglibot also said that the activity turned out “successful” after series of evaluations on the participants’ yields. She further added that despite the pandemic, they were still able to evaluate the crops through the help of the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist (OMAg) by sending virtual updates.
