OFWs trained on Balik Pinas-Balik Hanapbuhay Program

ALABEL, Sarangani (March 4, 2021) – Celine Travilla (extreme left), Family Welfare Officer of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA-Gensan), briefs some 97 returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) during the Training on Balik Pinas-Balik Hanapbuhay (BPBH) Program and Enterprise Development and Loan Program (EDLP) for OFWs on February 24 at Alabel Gymnasium. The BPBH is a livelihood support and assistance program of the OWWA intended to provide immediate relief to returning distressed or displaced OFWs amounting to a maximum of P20,000 as start-up or additional capital for the livelihood project. The EDLP, on the other hand, formerly known as OFW Reintegration Program, is an enterprise development intervention and loan facility of OWWA, in partnership with Land Bank of the Philippines and the Development Bank of the Philippines, intended to support enterprise development among OFWs and their families.
