PWUDs complete reformatory care, free technical course

MALUNGON, Sarangani (April 17, 2021) – Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon speaks before guests and former drug dependents on April 14 during the turnover ceremony of the P9.8-million Balay Silangan Reformatory Center and the graduation ceremony of 29 Persons Who Used Drugs (PWUDs) at Purok Maliwanag, Barangay Poblacion. Solon congratulated the drug surrenderees who completed their reformatory care and their training from the free technical course offered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the local government of Malungon for the municipality’s new milestone. The P9.8M project, funded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), broke ground on August 5, 2020 and completed its construction in March this year. This includes two separate dormitories for men and women PWUDs with a multi-purpose pavement for physical activities.
