Sarangani police officers are additional contact tracing force to strengthen measures vs. Covid-19

ALABEL, Sarangani (June 3, 2021) – Provincial Health Officer Dr. Arvin Alejandro announces during the Covid-19 contact tracing orientation for police officers on May 27 at the Capitol gym that a maximum of three police officers will be added as members of the contact tracing team in each town in Sarangani. Currently, Dr. Alejandro said, each of the seven municipalities of the province has 11 contact tracers paid by the Department of the Interior and Local Government. In addition to the two or three contact tracers from the Philippine National Police, Alejandro said additional tracers will also be hired as casual employees. He then anticipated that the additional workforce will boost each municipality in “achieving contact tracing outcome within 24 hours.” The orientation was done to enhance the contact tracing and monitoring system of Sarangani and to further improve the implementation of the necessary measures against Covid-19.
