ALABEL, Sarangani (August 20, 2021) – Vice Governor Elmer De Peralta (extreme right) commends Merly Nebres (2nd from left), STARTeD (Sarangani Transport Alliance for Reform and True Development) project manager, for accomplishing another milestone for the transport sector in the province during the launching of the 10 modernized Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) on August 16. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, De Peralta said the provincial government, through the leadership of Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon, did not stop “performing.” He said, “luyo sa kaguol nga dala aning virus, sige lang gihapon kita og pangita og mga pamaagi para makahatag og ayuda sa tanang katawhan diri sa Sarangani.” Nebres said a total of 12 modernized PUVs was purchased but the “delivery of the two units was affected by the lockdown in NCR kaya naapektohan ang pagpunta dito.” Also present during the launching were Engr. Gerald Faciol, assistant provincial administrator for operations, and staff from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) 12 headed by Regional Director Paterno Reynato Padua.
