One-stop-shop opens in Capitol

ALABEL, Sarangani (January 13, 2022) – Delia Gegone (left), 36, from Barangay Tokawal, processes the renewal of her delivery van permit on January 4 during the conduct of the annual one-stop-shop at the Capitol covered court. The one-stop-shop was established by the Provincial Treasurer's Office (PTO) to streamline and fast-track the processes involved in the renewal and application of the Governor’s Permit as well as for the collection of the provincial local tax impositions. Amelia Catolico, acting revenue generation division chief, said that for this year’s one-stop-shop “clients can immediately get their permits after processing all the requirements sa isang proseso lang.” She disclosed,” dati kasi to be followed pa yung ating permits but now we have integrated to offer a more convenient transaction for our clients.” Provincial local tax impositions, according to Catolico, are composed of tax on the transfer of real property ownership; business of printing and publication tax; franchise tax; tax on sand and gravel; amusement tax; annual fixed tax for every delivery truck or van/vehicle; and professional tax. Catolico also urged clients to go to the one-stop-shop "as early as possible" to avoid the crowd of applicants during the last week of the renewal. The one-stop shop will run until January 20 from 8 am to 5 pm at the Capitol covered court. (Jake Narte-Joshua John Pantonial/SARANGANI PROVINCIAL INFORMATION OFFICE)
