ALABEL, Sarangani (February 7, 2022) – Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon speaks before guests and some beneficiaries of the Inclusive Program for the Equal Access to Complete Education (IPEACE) on February 2 at the Capitol gym. Solon said “tungod sa inyong background, daghan ang muingon nga wala na moy pag-asa sa inyong kinabuhi.” But Solon said, “Sarangani is a province of second chances, we are God-centered kay kung naa tay nahimo before nga dili maayo, we have second chances basta maningkamot ta nga mulambo pa.” Through the collaborative efforts of the provincial officials headed by Deputy Speaker Congressman Ruel Pacquiao, Vice Governor Elmer De Peralta, all the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, and Governor Solon himself, all the beneficiaries are assured to receive more assistance until they finish their college degree. During the event, each of the beneficiaries received P25,000 cash assistance to support their tuition fee, book allowance, transportation and other school obligations. IPEACE is an education program for peace initiated by Governor Solon targeting vulnerable youth, particularly children of the former rebels (FRs) to gain access in the completion of their tertiary education.
