MAITUM, Sarangani (February 20, 2022) - "Brushing your teeth on a regular basis will help you avoid cavities and tooth decay. It is also crucial to use fluoride-rich toothpaste," says Dr. Mary Kenziah Galay, president of Philippine Dental Association General Santos Chapter, during the celebration of the 18th National Oral Health Month held at Gawad Kalinga Village in Barangay Mabay on February 17. She reminded everyone, particularly pregnant women, to consume calcium-rich foods for the better growth and development of the baby. Present during the event were Rural Health Unit Officer in Charge Dr. Marilyn Silauso, incoming president of Philippine Dental Association (PDA) Gensan Chapter Dr. Lydia Limjap, Regional Dentist Dr. Analiza Alo, retired Malungon Dentist Dr. Jean Galay, DepEd Nurse Renz Louis Bautista, Dr. Ma. Theresa Antoque, Susan S.Udog, Dr. Zamrod S. Remitar, and Dr. Daisy Dionio. The success of the event was also made possible through the help of Barangay Mabay officials Headed by Barangay Captain Baltazar Quilaton together with Barangay Health Workers and Barangay Nutrition Scholars.
