GENERAL SANTOS CITY (March 12, 2022) – Engr. Gerald Faciol, assistant provincial administrator for operations, presents the proposed provincial integrated water security plan of Sarangani on March 10 during the Sarangani Provincial Water Summit 2022. In his presentation, Faciol highlighted the importance of having an integrated water security plan “because we don’t have this yet in the province and we know that everything revolves around water”. He also disclosed that some areas in Glan, Malapatan, Alabel, Malungon and Maasim “are already experiencing a shortage of water supply.” Through the conduct of the summit, it will help and support the provincial government in developing its first water security plan which is grounded on climate and hydrological data and will link plans to improve water resource management and water supply and sanitation services of the province.
