ALABEL, Sarangani (March 17, 2022) – Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon and former Governor Migs Dominguez, vice president for operations of the Alsons Agri-Business Unit, grace the groundbreaking ceremony of the construction of the bypass road from the national highway to Barangay Bagacay on March 15 at Barangay Maribulan. Dominguez said “ito ang umpisa ng progreso, umpisa upang maging isang siyudad na ang Alabel, at magiging rason upang hindi na tayo mangibang-bayan para mag hanapbuhay.” Solon expressed his appreciation to the Alcantara family for being the province’s supporter during the onset of Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. “Katong pagsugod pa lang sa Covid, ang group ni Migs Dominguez maoy nagtabang sa atoa nga protektahan ang community pinaagi sa pagpanghatag og masks and PPE nga hutdanay kaniadto.” The land where the bypass road will be constructed was donated by the Alcantara family with a construction amount of P19.2M from the General Appropriations Act 2022 which will be implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
