ALABEL, Sarangani (June 29, 2022) – Congressman-elect Steve Chiongbian Solon takes his oath before Executive Judge Bill Lugo Ybarley as the new congressman of the lone district of Sarangani on June 29. The three-termer governor is joined by wife Michelle Solon, and kids Anna and Joshua during his oath-taking at the iconic Capitol building built by his grandparents. Solon is taking over a position that had been held by his grandfather, the late Congressman James L. Chiongbian, and his uncle, the late Congressman Erwin L. Chiongbian.
