Sulong Sarangani partners with ACTED

ALABEL, Sarangani (March 25, 2021) – (From left) Jonathan Sinfuego, Sulong Sarangani program director; Jennifer Kamid, Sulong Kapayapaan’s Kalinaw project manager; and Timothy John Olivo, ACTED (Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development) project manager, conduct a closed-door meeting on March 23 at the Provincial Governor’s Office. Olivo stated that ACTED wants to coordinate with the Provincial Local Government Unit of Sarangani to conduct an exposure visit to the best practices of Sarangani, particularly in its culture and peace aspect. Olivo disclosed they have identified three provinces from Regions 12 and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to be their target beneficiaries for the said project. Olivo said “we have North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Maguindanao as our target provinces and we want Sarangani to be the province para magawa yung isa sa aming mga deliverables entitled as strengthening societal respect for religious freedom dahil sa peace projects na ginagawa dito.” ACTED is a French humanitarian non-government organization committed to support vulnerable population around the world. It works in different countries responding to emergency and crisis situations, and also supports recovery, rehabilitation, and development efforts.
