DepEd eyes accreditation of 8 pilot Madrasah centers in Sarangani

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (April 12, 2021) – Regan Dagadas (extreme right), Regional Education Supervisor for Madrasah Education- DepEd (Department of Education) 12, talks during the annual expenditures workshop for the Madrasah management in Sarangani on April 6 at the Horizon Suites. The dialogue centered on the primary requisites for the DepEd accreditation of the eight pilot Madrasah centers in Sarangani. According to Dagadas, the accreditation would mean substantial financial aid from the national government to each of the Madrasah center in the province. He added “this accreditation will also make Madrasah education a principal component of the DepEd’s basic education system which means there’s no need na for our Moro students to enroll on DepEd accredited regular schools because with this program, maaari ng ipagpatuloy ng ating Moro students ang kanilang studies doon sa ating Madrasah Centers even simula pa kindergarten.” Dagadas also expressed his amusement to the provincial government of Sarangani especially Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon for putting up the Madaris program with a dedicated team whose focus is on its integration. The said project was also made possible with the help of the OND (Oblates of Notre Dame) Hesed Foundation Inc., Mahintana Foundation and Maguindanaon Development Foundation.
