Sulong Karunungan, SAAD educate less fortunate adults

ALABEL, Sarangani (April 28, 2021) – Leah Rosauro, Sulong Karunungan project manager, speaks during the graduation ceremony of the Kaalaman para sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran (3K) Project on April 26 at Barangay Bagacay. A total of 21 completers was awarded during the ceremony who were also part of the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) program and were already granted livelihood assistance such as livestock and seedlings. The main objective of the 3K program is to provide opportunity to the less fortunate adults who were not able to go to school or finish their studies, to help them develop their reading, writing and numeracy-related skills and to recognize their capabilities and strengths, and appreciate their varied social and economic roles in the society. The completers went through weekly classes for 10 months. The 3K project is under Sulong Karunungan, a flagship program of Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon. (Jake Narte-Joshua John S.
