MALAPATAN, Sarangani (February 14, 2022) – The provincial government, thru the Sulong Karunungan project of Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon, distributes reading materials and tutoring flashcards to Malapatan Districts 2 and 3 schools on February 10 at Lun Padidu Central Elementary School. Along with DepEd Sarangani, Sulong Karunungan gave books donated by the Latter-Day Saint Charities to seven schools in Malapatan Districts 2 and 3 namely Francisco Cagang Sr. Integrated School, Millona Upper Suyan Integrated School, H. Diamalod Ebrahim Elementary School, Amado Quirit Sr. National High School, Niyas M. Mental IP School, Kinam Elementary School, and Lun Padidu Central Elementary School. According to John Jerson Constantino, alternate reading coordinator of DepEd Sarangani, the recipient schools were identified based on the “implementation of the Read-at-Home program” and those who are “functionally-ready in terms of their school learning resources program, or those who have functional libraries.” Priority schools include “those situated in the far-flung areas or what we call the last mile schools.” Delia Cornejo, Lun Padidu Central ES school head, thanked the provincial government for “the generosity and for always giving support especially in education.” (Jori Mae R.
